“Yet while this singular production evokes the Great Depression with uncompromising bleakness, it is ultimately the opposite of depressing. That’s because McPherson hears America singing in the dark. And those voices light up the night with the radiance of divine grace.” - New York Times

Titled after Dylan’s classic folk track, Girl from the North Country premiered in 2017, performing at The Old Vic theater before transferring to London's West End. The limited-week run was a great success, stealing three wins from the Laurence Olivier Awards.

The production then traveled to the United States in late 2018 at the Public Theatre, New York. Here, it won an esteemed Outstanding New Off-Broadway Musical from the Outer Critics Circle Awards. The next year, the show finally opened on Broadway at the Belasco Theatre. Despite its run cut short because of the global pandemic, it received seven Tony Award nominations, winning Best Orchestrations for Hale’s work.

This coming spring, the jukebox musical will arrive at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre for its latest string of shows. The renowned stadium guarantees audiences a truly momentous experience thanks to its comfortable seats, remarkable stage, and state-of-the-art theatrical amenities.
