In this historical stage fiction, crowds will experience a hundred-fifty minutes of engrossing Eugene O’Neill-esque narratives backed with the music of the 20th century's most revered singer.

Set during the 1934 winter of Duluth, Minnesota, our story focuses on a dilapidated guesthouse kept by the Laines. It pursues the criss-crossing fates of the wayward travelers that come across it, from the quietly rageful Nick Laine to the morphine-addicted physician Dr. Walker. Sins will unravel, and inner demons will make themselves known. Against the unrelenting gloom of an economic crisis, can the rays of hope break through?

Girl from the North Country employs the book and direction by Tony Award-nominated playwright Conor McPherson. It showcases a scintillating score from ten-time Grammy Award winner Bob Dylan with twenty hand-picked songs, which include classics like "Slow Train" and "Sign on the Window."

Titled after Dylan’s classic folk track, Girl from the North Country premiered in 2017, performing at The Old Vic theater before transferring to London's West End. The limited-week run was a great success, stealing three wins from the Laurence Olivier Awards.

The production then traveled to the United States in late 2018 at the Public Theatre, New York. Here, it won an esteemed Outstanding New Off-Broadway Musical from the Outer Critics Circle Awards. The next year, the show finally opened on Broadway at the Belasco Theatre. Despite its run cut short because of the global pandemic, it received seven Tony Award nominations, winning Best Orchestrations for Hale’s work.
