As the story unwinds we find Lydia Deetz, a weird and unusual teenager obsessed with the whole being dead story. When she discovers that her house is haunted, by Beetlejuice, it is like she hit the jackpot. Eventually, after some debate the duo team up in the most sensational way to scare anyone with a pulse with exorcism, an arranged marriage and large sand worms.
